The school year of the 4th formers started in a very exciting way this year. From September 18th to September 20th three JSE (Jump Start English) native speakers came to our school for a three -day workshop in English with 4a, 4b and 4c.
So, what did we do?
On the first day, our subject was film and heroes. So our coaches, Alexander, Rory and Brandon showed us some films and did some exercises with us. Then it was our task to talk about our heroes in front of class. We also made videos with some effects in groups of four.
The next day our topic was food. This is what we did: we learned about recipes and cooking materials. Our highlight was, of course that we made some pancakes. We decorated them with cream, maple syrup and chocolate sauce. Later, we were told to shoot a video which would be shown on the last day at the final presentation of the project. The topic for the video was “drama”. We worked in groups of four again.
On the last day we discussed jobs. Our coaches showed us some videos about how to write a CV. They also made us write one before we prepared for the final presentation of the project in the early afternoon.
Finally, in the three days we had a lot of fun and learned quite a bit. We enjoyed the project. Thanks , Mrs Mathis, for the great organization!

PS: From Sept 23rd to Sept 25 Rory, Alexander and Brandon worked with the students of 4d, 4e and 4f, who also had much fun.
